It’s no secret that South Australia is home to some of the world’s most recognised and loved wines and now Wine De Jour want to make sure that everyone else knows that as well. The Sydney-based wine festival aims to explores wine styles, regions and theories in a fun and engaging way and tomorrow they’re hosting a special edition dedicated to our Adelaide Hills wine region.
Sydneysiders have the chance to indulge in some of our best wines from Shaw + Smith, Alpha Box & Dice, TheLane Vineyard, Vinteloper, Golden Child – and that’s just to name a few. Our favourite Solomon Street pizza friends, Sunny’s Pizza are also making a special trip east to provide delectable goods for our neighbours.
This special Adelaide dedicated afternoon is event two of the Wine De Jour festival held at the Cake Wines Cellar Door in Redfern and aims to highlight the diversity of wines produced on South Australian land and to understand the concept of both ‘terroir’ (‘sense of place’) and the Aboriginal word ‘Ngurra’, which means home or the history of a place.
Join other wine lovers for an afternoon of exploring the art of winemaking and tasting wines from the top of the hill to the bottom of the valley and every sub-region in between. All while acknowledging the traditional lands of the Peramangk and Kaurna people, recognising their connection to the sacred sites which the wine is produced on.
