Where To Celebrate World Nutella Day

Believe it or not, Sunday, February 5, marks the 10th annual World Nutella Day after American blogger Sara Rosso founded the day that’s dedicated to the delicious hazelnut spread in 2005.

We think it’s the perfect excuse to eat Nutella straight from the tub (guilt-free) and to celebrate by devouring anything featuring the spread in sight.

Luckily numerous cafes, restaurants and dessert spots around Adelaide agree, so we’ve complied a list of our go-to Nutella menu items to enjoy on this wonderful Sunday.

St Louis House Of Fine Ice Cream & Dessert

Although they have four desserts featuring Nutella, we couldn’t go past St Louis’ Nutella Affogato. Think. French Vanilla ice cream in a martini glass, with melted Nutella, sserved with a shot of fresh espresso and a biscotti on the side.

Aviary Dessert Kitchen

The team at Aviary Dessert Kitchen say various flavour combos have been trialed over the years for their Eton Mess dessert, but once we did this one there was no going back. A mix of meringue, lashings of Nutella mousse, fresh strawberries and almond and hazelnut praline make the perfect match.

CIBO Espresso

We’re not gonna lie, we’ve added CIBO’s Nutella Zeppole onto our coffee order a few too many times to even admit! Maybe on World Nutella Day we’ll opt for two?

Chuck Wagon

Potentially the spot with the most Nutella offerings on the menu in Adelaide, Chuck Wagon features the hazelnut spread in seven of their items with maybe the most OTT option being Nutella Three Ways. It’s essentially Vanilla ice cream rolled in brownie crumbs, Chuck Wagon’s signature crunchy Nutella patty rich Nutella sauce and whipped cream all on a soft toasted dessert bun.

Bakery on O’Connell

The best part about these sweet Nutella treats? Bakery on O’Connell is open 24/7 so you can “treat yo self” at any hour of the day or night. We always reach for the explosion of a Nutella Bomb.

The Curious Squire

The Curious Squire is known for their savoury American eats, so why not turn a staple pizza into a decadent dessert. Introducing the Nutella Pizza topped with Nutella (of course!) vanilla ice cream, strawberries and icing sugar.
