While leaving the house in the cold winter months can be a struggle, Adelaide’s newest comedy event West End Laugh at The Hindley Bar and Grill will make your warm bed seem dull in comparison.
Starting this Thursday, the brand new comedy night will feature some of Australia’s best comedians, with the inaugural one featuring local funny man and one of Adelaide’s favourite breakfast voices, Hit 107’s Amos Gill.
“It is fantastic to have a gig down at the West End of Adelaide,” says Amos. “Hopefully the event gets people to come out for a laugh, a beer and an atmosphere to kick the weekend off early – plus I’ll be doing as many jokes as I can about my break up!”
Continuing on the local legends line up, Australian writer and homegrown comedy favourite, James McCann will be running the nights as emcee and promoter, and has organised a side-splitting lineup of talent – including national headliners as well as up and comers from the Adelaide comedy scene performing every fortnight.
“We’re especially thrilled that Corey White of Corey White’s Roadmap to Paradise on the ABC will perform on June 14, and we’ll also have George Carrol from Network Ten’s Have You Been Paying Attention featuring on June 28,” James says.
For the small entry fee of $5, West End Laugh is bound to be an evening of huge laughs, great food, and $5 tinnies.
