So you have a celebration on the horizon, but party planning connotes to stress? CLIQUE Mag speaks with Adelaide event collective Emkho about how to WOW your guests throughout the festive season.
When it comes to the Emkho team, they have a combined background in all things creative and planning, so you can be assured that they know the ins and outs of throwing an event.
One member of the team, Courtney Tohl who studied interior design, says the team are qualified in a variety of areas that provides a comprehensive service for their clients.
“Kellie and I studied interior design, Emma is a graphic designer and Holly is in finance,” Courtney says. “We have all worked and managed within the hospitality industry for many years as well so our clients get all of those skill sets at their disposal to make their event EPIC!”
From picking the perfect venue to choosing a gorgeous theme, party planning is no easy feat. Event stylist and planner, Courtney, says that event planning can be overwhelming and stressful if you choose to DIY, so allowing ample time and hiring an expert is her number one tip!
“Doing DIY does not always save you money, and the end result is not what you might have hoped for,” Courtney says.
“Give yourself time and hire an expert to custom create your event – like the service that Emkho provide.
“We cover all the bases and make your event planning an enjoyable, stress free experience – like it should be!”
Plus, this means you can focus on the fun tasks like tasting wine and canapés, and buying an outfit!
Living in Adelaide we’re surrounded by stunning locations. From the hills to the valleys and the beaches, it’s hard to know where to start, so we asked Courtney to share her favourite wedding locations around our state.
Courtney suggests the rustic and spacious The Flour Shed in Port Adelaide. She also says that Beresford House, among the vineyards in McLaren Vale is a gorgeous wedding venue that boasts versatile spaces and a picturesque view. She continues by recommending the stunning Pike & Joyce Winery in Lenswood as a beautiful venue where you can get married “On Top of the Hill”.
Maintaining a sense of unity between the styling and the venue is also important, and leading into spring, Courtney says that timeless favourites of colour and florals will be on trend, alongside natural materials such as maple, timber, linen, quartz and marble.
One of the perks of planning an event with Emkho is that they custom design beautiful coasters, drink tags, invitations, signage and more specifically for each event. Emkho can help you create a fun saying that reflects the guests of honour, but Courtney says her favourite to use is “The drinks are on us!”
