Last night, two Adelaide labels Keepsake The Label and Finders stormed down the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival (VAMFF) runway part of the Premium 4 Runway presented by SHOP Til You Drop inside the Royal Exhibition Building.
Among good company, we also saw the current collections from Australian designers We Are Kindred, Isabelle Quinn, S.Wallis & Talulah.
Finesse Model’s Adut Akech opened the show in a piece from Finder’s upcoming collection that features striped wrap styles we can already envision in our autumn wardrobe plus a psychedelic print for those more daring.
Next up, We Are Kindred followed suit with ’70s vibes from tie dye florals to statement bombers. Samantha Harris was festival ready in a bell-sleeve mini paired with knee-high beige suede boots.
Plush luxe fabrics, rose pink, lacey slips and silky sets – Keepsake The Label brought a touch of femininity to the runway. We can’t go past Azalea Model’s Gemma Cowling in the PJ-esque combo. The best part? You can shop this collection straight off the runway from fashionbunker.com.au, David Jones and other Keepsake stockists.
From Instagram to the runway, we spotted Isabelle Quinn’s sheer floral embroidered pieces that are a lust-have this a/w17. The label also introduced another sheer textile, this time trimmed with edgy fraying fringing.
Talulah closed the show with their collection of occasion-wear pieces. Think: layers of frills and flounces, metallic gold laces and a neutral colour palette featuring a dusty desert red.
