Twenty-seven TAFE SA and Flinders University fashion graduates will showcase their final collections at the Unbound Fashion Graduate Parade, presented with HomeStart SA.
The Unbound showcase will be held in the Margaret Graham Building in the Old Royal Adelaide Hospital at 6:30pm on Thursday 8 February 2018.
The designs on show range from bridal and swimwear to 1950s vintage. The parade will feature a non-traditional runway, with models walking around the wrought iron balconies and weaving through the crowd.
TAFE SA Fashion Design and Technology Principal Lecturer Helen Jansson is excited for the show.
“The innovative designs that you will see on the night have been inspired by experiences such as overseas study trips to China, Hong Kong, Italy and England and an industry mentor program,” Helen said.
Adelaide Fashion Festival Event Manager Robyn Ingerson has been a point of contact for the students, working closely with them over the past three years.
“The energy and enthusiasm from the students has been generated by the creative environment, mentors and opportunities that are presented to them,” Robyn says.
“It is a very important space to allow our industry to keep growing and shining.”
HomeStart partners with the fashion graduate parade to support the local South Australian fashion industry. Each year it provides the Fashion Student of the Year with $1,000, which will be announced on the night.
