If the international runway circuits are anything to go by – or the plethora of models and fashion influencers that can’t seem to get enough – then the resurgence of the late 1990 to early 2000’s logo tee may just be the trend of summer 2016/17.
If you were too young to fully embrace the first wave of the logo tee phenomenon, hold on tight because the next wave is on its way; bigger and better. The off-duty staple was revitalised by Louis Vuitton’s 2015 fall collection and since has become a major fixture at the international runway circuit, from Chanel to Gucci, Marc Jacobs and, how could we forget, Dolce & Gabbana, where an army of models took the runway in white ‘D&G’ tees.
On the streets we have already seen the likes of Bella Hadid, Margret Zhang, Zanita Whittington and Stella Maxwell slaying the trend to absolute perfection; proving the logo tee can be styled with absolutely anything, from your favourite denim cut-offs to dramatic flared pants.
To make the trend your own don’t be afraid to adopt the high-low fashion mashup. Style with loose palazzo pants and sandals for an effortless beachside get-up; sportify with a racer-style jacket; or dress it up with a cute patterned mini. The options are endless.
