In recent months, the makeup gurus at MAC Cosmetics have wowed us with some of their best creations yet. From a Christmas themed collaboration with Mariah Carey to magnetic eyeshadows, MAC are getting bigger and better than ever before, and the trend is continuing into 2017 with five new releases set to hit stores next month.
Keep reading to get the rundown on everything that MAC has planned for 2017. To put it simply – start saving because February is going to be huge in the makeup world!
Prep+Prime Essential Oils
The Prep+Prime range is one of the many reasons that we adore MAC Cosmetics, and their latest addition, Essential Oils, is sure to be as well-received as the rest of the collection. Formulated with naturally derived grapefruit and chamomile essences, this conditioning facial oil harness the power of botanical ingredients to soothe, purify and replenish your skin. Use this oil after cleansing or blend with your favourite MAC makeup products for added hydration.
Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolours
The matte lip trend is here to stay, and MAC have your back with 12 new shades of their classic Retro Matte formula. The cult-fave collection now includes a range of trendy muted tones to help you channel your inner Kylie Jenner without sacrificing on the state-of-the-art product quality. We’ll definitely be rocking these deep toned lip colours this Autumn.
Before you start applying your Retro Matte lipstick, give your lips a little TLC with MAC’s new lip exfoliator. Gently buff away dead skin with this sugar scrub to reveal softer, more hydrated lips right in time for Valentine’s Day.
Year of the Rooster
To celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Rooster, MAC Cosmetics have released nine new products inspired by the Chinese New Year. The collection, which is available in-store and online from February, includes three new lip colours, a nine-shade eyeshadow palette, two powder blushes, a liquid eyeliner and even some new brow products to help you release your inner Rooster. We’ll take one (maybe two) of everything!
Make Up Art Cosmetics
The makeup masterminds at MAC Cosmetics are behind-the-scenes at 34 Fashion Weeks around the world, which means they know a thing or two about being makeup artists. To celebrate their role in the industry, MAC have teamed up with three industry leaders –Diane Kendal, James Kaliardos, and Kabuki, to develop collections to reflect and celebrate each of the artists’ talent and style. While we may not be maestros of the makeup industry, we’re still eager to get our hands on these three collaborations – but unfortunately we’ll have to wait until they’re released in February.
