The Dressmaker Exhibition Comes To Adelaide

After hitting our screens in 2015, Australian film The Dressmaker is making its way to Adelaide with its exhibiton of haute couture costumes.

With fashion being the main focus of the film, staring Adelaide’s Sarah Snook as Gertrude ‘Trudy’ Pratt, it’s no surprise it took two top designers — Boyce and Margot Wilson — to craft the wardrobe that takes us back to the 1950s.

The exhibition will be held inside North Terrace’s Ayers House Museum and opens this week on Thursday, September 1. There’s plenty of time to make your way to lust over the garments, as the exhibition is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm and doesn’t close until December 11.
