Round She Goes Fashion Market will return to Adelaide on Saturday, 21 May. This event is held in Adelaide three times per year, and there is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming market as it has moved to a new location at the Woodville Town Hall.
For a mere $2 entry fee, shoppers will have access to over 50 stallholders. The broad selection of brands usually includes labels such as Finders Keepers, sass & bide, Oroton, Scanlan & Theodore, David Lawrence and White Suede. There will also be a range of retro and vintage clothing and accessories on offer, as well as handmade jewellery from local Adelaide designers.
The market has received a number of awards for its innovative approach to markets and preloved fashion. Founder Emma Morris decided to establish Round She Goes in response to a gap in the fashion market.
“I’ve always been a collector of clothing. I found that I was selling items I wasn’t going to hold on to at markets, but noticed that fashion isn’t really suited to the traditional outdoor market setting. Although there were a lot of general second hand markets around, there wasn’t something specific for women’s fashion,” Emma says.
The response to Round She Goes has been overwhelmingly positive. Emma says her passion and meticulous selection of stallholders is what makes the event fun and interesting.
“Round She Goes is curated, and I select stallholders to ensure that there’s a variety of different styles, and a mixture of preloved designer pieces and clothing from general wardrobe clearances. I also try to get a range of sizes and always check the quality of the items.”
The recently renovated and restored Woodville Town Hall will provide a stunning backdrop to Round She Goes. The ornate and glamorous interior will suit the theme of the event, which is the first of its type to be held in the hall since it was renovated. The tall ceilings, glossy wood floors and gold trim finishes will give shoppers more to admire than just the broad range of chic clothes and accessories.
“The specific area of Adelaide is quite up and coming which suits our market too. All the venues have been great, but this marks the start of a new beginning. It’s fun to move onto new places and reach new people too,” Emma says.
The new location is not the only new and exciting aspect of this Round She Goes. The stallholders are always different, so customers never know what to expect. Shoppers can also look forward to satisfying their caffeine cravings with the help of an in-house barista.
“I always want to put on the type of event that I’d go to. It’s a combination of everything – the music, the location, the stallholders. Everyone is always friendly and in a good mood,” Emma says.
Round She Goes promises to be a fun and affordable day out, offering something for everyone. The market will run from 10am to 3pm, so make sure you get in early to secure yourself some serious bargains.
