Recycling Fashion Trends

How many times have we worn an outfit only to hear our parents say, “if only I kept that jacket when I was younger,” or, “I wore the exact same pair of jeans when I was your age”? Too many times if you ask me!

So why are we recycling the same trends our parents wore in their day? Maybe because to us these trends are new? We have not experienced the floral of the ’70s, the puffy jackets of the ’80s, and the grunge of the ’90s, and therefore want to re-create these signature looks – all while taking our own spin on things.

Here at CLIQUE, we decided to take a trip down memory lane and have a look at the top fashion trends from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, and how we re-create these looks today; a ‘who wore it better’.
