This Saturday, Adelaide’s favourite craft brewery, Pirate Life, is turning four and to celebrate they’re launching their much-anticipated Port Adelaide brewery.
Brainchild of Jack Cameron, Jared Proudfoot and Michael Cameron, Pirate Life produces beer like no other – it’s unconventional and seriously good.
For almost four years now Pirate Life’s Hindmarsh brewery has been the brand’s home base, but with great success comes expansion.
“We’ve been working on Pirate Life at the Port for more than twelve months and we’ve come so far,” Michael says.
“And while our original Hindmarsh brewery, bar and shop will remain open for business, the Port brewery represents a vital injection of culture at an exciting time befitting the area’s resurgence.”
Situated in the 1938 Dalgety Woolstores, Pirate Life will join an array of like minded entrepreneurs, makers and creators setting up shop down at the Port – Miko & Mollie, Low & Slow American BBQ, Cult & Harper, and La Popular Tacqueria just to name a few.
CEO of Pirate Life John Phinney says, “South Australian beer lovers have shown us a great deal of respect and support.”
“On top of that, we’ve had incredible backing from the state government, our colleagues at Carlton & United Breweries, and our new neighbours at the Port Adelaide Council, and we’re very appreciative of that.”
The new space will feature a 22-yard main bar with 24 taps, tasting room, a Pirate Life shop and a new outpost from Robbie’s Chop Shop – meaning you can enjoy a traditional barbershop service and a great brew all in the one place.
Pirate Life invites you to join their fourth birthday celebrations with an epic day of beer, food and tunes at their Port Adelaide brewery.
