This event has unfortunately been cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.
Norman Jay will instead perform a sunset session from 5.30pm-10.00pm at The Pontoon in Elder Park – Tickets are $20 and available here.
It’s Summer and for a lot of you, it’s straight to the beach, but the warmer weather also means it’s time to hit up our incredible wineries. If you need any other reason that the picturesque vines and delicious wine, one of South Australia’s biggest wine events, the Adelaide Hills Crush Festival, returns at the end of this month and the line up’s biggest event, The Piece Project at Longview Vineyard is also back bigger and better than ever.
For those unfamiliar with The Piece Project, it’s a live street art competition – the first of its kind at a winery – where the winning piece will grace the label of Longview’s premium reserve Shiraz, ‘The Piece’. This year’s competitors and seriously talented artists in their own right are 2SKE, Masika, Morris Green and Grots.
Now in its 8th year, Longview is looking to step The Piece Project up to the next level by bringing world renowned DJ, Norman Jay to the vineyard to lead a line up that also includes Mobile Disco’s Eric Powell and homegrown talent, Ryley Smithson.
“We wanted to bring a new dimension to The Piece [and] we have always had cutting edge DJs but to have Norman Jay on the decks is going to be amazing,” says one of Longview Vineyard’s owners, Pete Saturno.
“We like to change things up at Longview and offer guests a unique, genuine and fun wine experience and that is what we have done by introducing some the world’s most famous DJs,” he continues.
The day will, of course, include Longview wines to quench your thirst but if vino isn’t your thing, The Hills Cider Company will be available as well as local South Australian beers so you can crack a cold one. And to keep your stomach lined delicious food trucks, The Fat Fork and La Chiva will be serving up their specialties.
Sounds like the perfect way to spend a summer Sunday sesh to us.
The Piece Project starts at 12.00pm on Sunday, January 28 2018 and you can dance until dusk at 8.00pm.
