With the highly anticipated royal wedding just moments away, we’re on the edge of our seats waiting to see what extravagant events are in order for the world to watch in awe. But we’re probably the most excited to see what incredible gown Meghan Markle will wear as she walks down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel – without her dad by the way – to marry her real life prince charming.
The beloved Suits star has made no official announcement on which fortunate designer has been chosen, however there has been speculation that London-based couture house, Ralph & Russo, is going to be the bride’s pick. And keeping in mind that all the rumours about Kate’s choice of Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton turned out to be right.
The bride-to-be is no stranger to the British label, wearing a stunning couture gown from their Fall 2016 collection, worth over $100,000, in their beautiful official engagement portraits.
Ralph & Russo was first established in 2007 by Australian husband and wife design duo, Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo and since then has been growing rapidly into an internationally recognised couture house. After being the first British label in over 100 years to be selected by the highly prestigious Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture to show at Paris Haute Couture Week, they’ve become red carpet darlings adored by foreign royals and worn by celebrities such as Beyonce, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.
Although the odds are stacked fairly high in favour of Ralph & Russo, there is still a slight chance the bride could be dressed in another designer. There’s also been rumours of an Alexander McQueen repeat, or maybe a special Christopher Bailey designed gown even though he’s left Burberry or Amanda Wakeley, all other favourites of Meghan’s as well.
We’ll have to wait and see tomorrow but we know this royal gown will be to die for.
