She’s the self-taught beauty goddess and contour queen that can create all sorts of beauty miracles in a matter of minutes. With over fifteen thousand dedicated Instagram followers, a resume that reads SCK the Label and Nicole Miller, and an almost booked out schedule; Georgina Neves should be on top of your list as one of Adelaide’s go-to makeup artists.
How did you get involved in make-up artistry?
I’ve always been the friend that was good at makeup, I would always get friends of friends asking me to do their makes for events. So, one day I decided to make an Instagram page for my hobby and through lots of hard work I eventually this turned hobby into my business.
What are the top three products you cant live without?
I cannot live without bronzer, cream illuminators and mascara.
The New Year always signifies a new wave of trends and looks for us to obsess over. What are your favourite beauty trends of 2017?
My two favourite trends so far for 2017 is the cohesive “peach” look that I’m seeing everywhere. It’s so pretty! I’m also loving the super glowy and dewy looks.
What are the biggest and most common beauty faux pas you come across?
One of the most common beauty faux pas I see are people not blending their foundation down into their neck. Too often I see girls with the strongest foundation line on their jaws; I just want to go up to them and tell them to blend blend blend!
They say the good skin acts as the canvas for a beautiful make-up look. What can people do to achieve a flawless completion?
I’m a firm believer in layering products. To create that flawless look you should always start with a good base. Moisturizer and primer are must for me, then using cream products (lightly) to contour and highlight and setting with similar tones. You don’t need heavy layers of makeup to get that flawless skin, but most importantly looking after your skin and cleansing every morning and night.
As a make-up artist, what is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Giving people to confidence to feel beautiful inside and out.
What are some of your favourite projects you’ve worked on?
Some of my favourite people I have worked with are the lovely girls at SCK the Label. I’ve done a few shoots with them now and they’re always so much fun! I’ve also worked with the talented Nicole Miller who was touring Australia with Troye Sivan. It was so cool getting to go back stage at the Entertainment Centre – I felt so official!
In your opinion, what celebrities always slays the make-up game?
I feel like the Kardashian/Jenner family ALWAYS slay the makeup game. They are the people I go to for inspiration.
Where can people find you?
I work from two locations – my home and a studio in the city but the best way to contact me is via email [email protected].
