Make Me Up – Adelaide’s Go-To Makeup Artists

We think Adelaide has been gifted with some of country’s best makeup artists. From self-taught cosmetic queens to artists with qualifications from some of the best makeup academies such as Media Makeup, Adelaide has a huge variety of makeup artists to choose from.

Here at CLIQUE Mag we’ve spent the week stalking through the envy-worthy Instagrams and blogs of some of the city’s best makeup gurus, and have compiled a go-to list of our favourite artists for next time you need to get glammed up.

Jemma Millar – @jemmamillar_mua

Jemma Millar is a qualified makeup artist who trained at Media Makeup and is located at Style Savvy Hire Studio in Somerton Park, where she will transform you into a goddess in about 35 minutes. The benefit of getting your makeup done with Jemma is that you can also hire outfits for your special event from Style Savvy Hire, so you’ll leave totally transformed and ready for your night out.

Georgina Neves @georginanevesmakeup

This self-taught beauty goddess operates out of Adelaide’s One Night Stand Boutique, where she will bronze you up and help you channel your inner supermodel. Her prime location at one of Adelaide’s most popular clothing hire boutiques means you can choose your outfit while Georgina turns you into a goddess, talk about convenient!

Alice Irving – @lastminutemakeup

Alice Irving of Last Minute Makeup is another Adelaide-based makeup queen who will transform you from drab to fab with high quality brands like NARS, Becca and Tarte Cosmetics. From the comfort of her makeup chair at Style Hutt Hire in Somerton Park, you can be transformed to a bronzed goddess or get a killer smokey eye while you eye off the gorgeous outfits for hire.

Samantha Vlassis – @sammymakeup

When friends refer to you as ‘Sammy Makeup’ over your actual name, it’s pretty obvious that you’re a star at your job! Sammy would have to have the biggest makeup portfolio in the state, after working with all Australia Fashion Labels’ brands, The Advertiser and Paolo Sebastian – just to name a few. If you’re lucky enough you can nab a spot in her schedule for your next special occasion, but we recommend booking in advance!

Millie Herd – @millieherd

Known as Adelaide’s ‘Brow Queen’, not only can Millie Herd get your brows looking on-point but she’s a whiz when it comes to the brushes too. She has also worked with local fashion labels and even CLIQUE Mag on numerous occasions. Pop in to her King William Road studio to get dolled up for your next event.

Amanda Nash – @mandynashmakeup

We love Amanda Nash’s theatrical and body paint work, but she’s also on-point when it comes to special occasion looks – it’s an added bonus that she’s a hair stylist too!

Alisha – @_ali5ha_

Find Alisha at the David Jones Adelaide Mac counter if you’re looking for a dewy and flawless look! Her strong attention to detail will ensure you’re 100% satisfied with your finished look.

Madeleine Tirimacco – @madeleinetirimacco

Freelance Madeleine Tirimacco is known as the ‘Blending Queen’ when it comes to applying your makeup. You’re guaranteed to leave with the perfect skin tone match and a lip-smacking smile.
