After Topham Mall Laneway’s major reconstruction, Adelaide’s most central micro-brewery Lady Burra Brewhouse has undertaken its own transformation with new upgrades including the outdoor dining area and a refresh to their popular Portugal-inspired menu.
The new venue fitout boasts an attractive intimate outdoor feel with seating available for up to 30 people. Steven Kidd, owner of Kidd Retail Group says the Brewhouse has been working closely with Adelaide City Council on this new activation project.
“The activation of external seating and changes to the outdoor aesthetics of Lady Burra Brewhouse not only gives our clientele more al fresco dining options, the upgrade also creates a connection between the southern end of the CBD and Adelaide Oval,” says Steven.
Let’s talk food. Famous for their renowned selection of beer, Lady Burra’s Head Chef Rosa Dantas will pair their signature craft beers with the Portuguese-inspired menu that incorporates ingredients straight from the beer barrels with fresh, local ingredients.
“We use the handcrafted beers in many of our sauces and marinades. Even our homemade focaccia is made using the spent grains we use in our beers,” says Rosa.
We hear Rosa’s famous paella dish is cooked to order on Friday and Saturday nights, so that’s where we will be this weekend.
As for Topham Mall, expect three new exciting venues to pop up within the coming months.
“Our first project to open in the coming months is The Noble Gentleman, a city wine bar acting as a cellar door for local South Australian wineries. We will also be launching a unique coffee shop concept under the name Frequency, and an exciting rooftop bar later in 2018 called Two Suns.” says Steven.
