Justine Lundberg will be packing her bag for a 10-day trip around Asia after being crowned the winner of the Fashion At The Races State Final held at Schweppes Oaks Day on Saturday afternoon.
Alongside fifteen other finalists, Justine stood out to the judges with her navy Carla Zampatti dress and her stand-out millinery which featured a marbled hat with black and rose gold floral details by Debbie Kelly Millinery.
On the day, the judges came to the unanimous decision to select Justine has the winner – including Angela Menz from Melbourne fashion blog On Track On Trend.
“We really wanted to see that ‘wow-factor’ shine through – someone who excelled in terms of their outfit but also presented with sophistication and confidence. Justine is to be congratulated on her flawless presentation – she was certainly most deserving of the title,” Angela says.
The State Final was held over a luncheon, appropriately on Oaks Day which is traditionally known as Ladies Day at the races. The afternoon was hosted by Chanel Seven’s Amelia Mulcahy and along with the Fashion At The Races heat and final, guests also enjoyed a fashion parade from BNKR and a TAFE SA student parade based on the theme ‘From Orient’. Some racegoers and finalists were also lucky enough to have themselves in their race day attire sketched by designer and fashion illustrator Petar Prodanovic.
Justine will get the chance to frock up for the races again on her 10-day tour of Hong Kong, Shanghai and Macau as the prize includes a private box at the Sha Tin racecourse during the world-famous Hong Kong International. We’re sure there will be plenty of shopping and sightseeing happening during the trip, too!
