We’ve spent the past two long weekends down at McLaren Vale’s Alpha Box & Dice cellar door, so why not make it a third as they host Masterchef’s Jessie Spiby who will be cooking a six-course Asian fusion longtable dinner on the Friday night of the upcoming June long weekend, June 10.
Jessie has just launched her catering brand, Jessie Does Food, and she says the AB&D venue makes the perfect collaboration for her new brand.
“It was quite an easy collaboration really,” says Jessie. “I love AB&D wines and adore their cellar door. I couldn’t think of a better venue to be hosting this particular feast for Jessie Does Food.”
We’ve been told to expect dumplings with crispy salt bush and sticky Thai-inspired Buffalo wings with native pepper – and obviously (lots of) AB&D wine.
AB&D Managing Director, Dylan Fairweather, says this event is about their wines connecting people and bringing them together.
“Having Jessie come cook at the cellar door is a perfect platform to showcase a true AB&D experience,” he says.
They’ve also hinted at the release of their 2014 Golden Mullet Fury Semillon/Viognier on the night– one of Jessie’s favourites, too!
