The cold pressed movement is slowly gaining momentum in little ol’ Adelaide, and now we welcome Henley Beach’s very own pressed juicery, GoodPress, to the mix!
We’ve got husband-and-wife team Mark and Sharyn Apted to thank for filling a gap in the market, and bringing their boldly-branded juices to the west side… with a selection of ready-to-roll cold pressed juices, and almond mylk-based blends all made in-house.
GoodPress has only been up-and-running for a couple of weeks, and the team have set up a dedicated tasting station (for the time being!), so you can try before you buy. Just FYI.
The fridge is also jam-packed with ‘light bites’ for the mornings (we’re talking Bircher muesli and Acai chia pudding) as well as a rotating selection of salads for those of us looking for a savoury fix. The Zucchini spaghetti with pistachio avocado pesto is a must-try. And did we mention they’re pouring Carnevale Coffee from a eye-catchin’ canary yellow coffee machine?
The fit-out is as industrial as they come, with clean lines and a humble roller door opening the space up onto Henley Beach Rd. While the concrete floor plays off against splashes of yellow, birch wood furnishings and an exposed brick feature wall, soon to be decked out with greenery à la EST (Emma Sadie Thomson).
You’ll be happy to know the couple have plans to grow the GoodPress brand, with a few “hole in the wall-style” locations in the pipeline. “It’s all about making a small footprint,” says Mark. “So we’ll be doing all the juicing here (Henley Beach Rd).”
These guys are onto a good thing, so watch this space!
