Twenty-four graduates of the Bachelor of Creative Arts (Fashion) will take part in a fashion parade hosted at Flinders University.
The annual parade will be an opportunity for the emerging designers to showcase their collection and act as key personnel in the SA fashion industry. The collection will range from special occasion gowns and race-wear through to unisex designs and men’s street-wear. The looks have been inspired from Scandinavian architecture, the natural environment and influential pop icons such as Elton John and Freddie Mercury.
The students have embraced the creativity behind fashion and design featuring 3D printing, laser cutting, fabric printing and other techniques helping to create unique elements in their garments.
Helen Jansson, TAFE SA’s Principal Lecturer- Fashion Design and Technology proudly states that producing the five-outfit collection has given students the prospect to draw on the skills gained over their three years of study.
The parade will commence Saturday, February 8th at 7pm. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from 5:30pm.
