We’re going to Rio with Binny’s SS17 collection

Cue ruffles. Cue colour. Cue peek-a-boo shoulders. Binny’s new spring summer 17 collection is all about Brazil. Where palms wave gently in the breeze, birds seem to fly in perfect straight lines and the beach is the lifeblood of the city. It’s intensely tropical and animal print reigns supreme. The vibrant colours are faded by the sun and as carnival begins, groups gather on street corners to sing, dance and prepare for the world’s biggest party.

Inspired by the shimmering heat of summer in Rio, all 50+ pieces are designed with keeping cool in mind. Fabrics like broderie anglaise, cotton mixed with silk, viscose linen and crochet lace breathe against the skin while the fit is flattering and easy to wear.

Offering the perfect combination of fun and frivolous, chic and stylish, the range features seven unique prints, custom created by designer Binny Watson. Each print references something iconic about Rio with inspiration taken from coffee bags, street signs and faded beach umbrellas. These striking prints are deliberately clashed back with on-trend gingham in classic black and white as well as a beautiful, soft peach and then balanced out by crisp summer whites in beach pants and jumpsuits.

Binny’s signature striped tee is back again this year in grey, green and millennial pink with the option of t-shirt or throw-on-and-go beach dress. But the absolute stand out, hero outfit of the entire collection is the ruffle blouse and tiered ‘Rio de Janeiro’ maxi skirt in the print with the cutest name, ‘toucan do it’.

So RSVP yes. Grab your passport. And our hand and follow us promptly to Rio.
