World Gin Day is just around the corner and in the lead-up to one of life’s greatest celebrations, two South Australian greats have teamed up to create the perfect glazed donut for a limited time only.
Award-winning local distiller Adelaide Gin has partnered with beloved pastry brand Abbots & Kinney to celebrate the end of strict social isolation rules by collaborating to create a gin flavoured donut that is not only delicious but vegan too.
“We are thrilled to share the Adelaide Gin Donut, which combines a love of gin with an indulgent donut, as a way to celebrate World Gin Day,” says Michael Hickinbotham, founder of Adelaide Gin and Australian Distilling Co.
“We have really enjoyed the process of collaborating with Abbots & Kinney, who I admire greatly. It’s been an exciting partnership between an artisan distiller and an artisan baker, and we look forward to hopefully working together again in the future.”
Gin-lovers are encouraged to pre-order before World Gin Day, June 13 to avoid disappointment.
“We will have some Adelaide Gin Donuts in the Croydon store on World Gin Day but based on the popularity of our previous limited-edition collaborations, these are likely to sell out pretty quickly,” says Jonny Pisanelli, owner and head pastry chef of Abbots & Kinney.
Pre-orders are available now via the Abbots & Kinney website.
