There’s nothing quite like when local Adelaide makers and creators come together in one place to support each other and sell their wares. Luckily for us, Gathered. Market returns to its stunning home at the Queen’s Theatre this weekend. Old favourites and new stalls, live music and not to mention a whole new bar area, it’s definitely the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Oh, and you know, pick up your Mother’s Day present.
As with all the previous markets, this instalment of Gathered. has been carefully curated to include some of South Australia’s best vendors. With Mother’s Day only two weeks away, we’ll be looking at the great range of locally made skincare, perfume and makeup from names like REB Cosmetics, Soap Sense and Shanghai Lil & The Scarlet Fez. Or maybe some handmade jewellery is more your mum’s thing – we’re really into Chloe Shay‘s handmade heart rings. Or maybe a succulent from Babble Designs. Whatever it is, Gathered. have you covered from clothing to stationary to your garden.
While you’re taking your pick, you can get some food as well thanks to food stall favourites like Sookii La La, Public, Very Vegan and Paella by Hen – just to name a few. And just quietly we’re pretty excited about the new bar area as well with wine from The Stokes, the Chesterfield Whiskey Firm offering tasting paddles (paired with matching desserts) and The Antipodes Gin Co providing the goods with some gin refreshments and brace yourselves, espresso martinis. Cheers to that.
“We’re so excited to be back at the Queen’s Theatre for the latest instalment of Gathered. Market,” says owner and founder Jenna O’Dell. “We’re hoping that with the great line up of local vendors, everyone finds the perfect mother’s day gift as well as something to treat themselves with.”
If we think about it, you really don’t have any excuse not to come down to enjoy this unique market experience.
