After an incredible effort of bringing together the best local producers, artists and food for her first Food, Booze + Dancing Shoes last year, Jessie Spiby is bringing the very special event to Cellar Door Fest this March.
Adelaide’s favourite food, wine, beer and spirits festival, Cellar Door Fest is a celebration of everything you love when it comes to fabulous South Australian produce, with over 180 local producers gathering at the Adelaide Convention Centre for three days of tastings, informative master classes, exclusive long table dining, intimate “DIY” workshops and more. Food, Booze + Dancing Shoes joins the mix this year and will be the official after party following the first day of fun and fabulous events.
“Being the official food ambassador is a real privilege and possibly the easiest and most fun job I’ve ever had to do,” Jessie says about representing the festival.
“What I love most about SA is that we not only have incredible wine, spirits and beer flowing out of our food regions, but also some of the highest quality produce that reflects the diverse landscapes.”
“This year the food will be as much of the star as the wine,” she continues.
Expect delicious bites concocted and curated by Jessie herself paired with delicious wines from McLaren Vale favourites, Alpha Box & Dice. If spirits are your poison, the Adelaide Hills Distillery is also on board, as are Mismatch Brewing Co. , Hills Cider and Sunlight Liquor for those who prefer to crack a cold one.
All of this goodness will be set to the soundtrack of a local musical lineup handpicked by Sharni Honor of the The Porch Sessions so you can be sure that your night will be filled with great music, food, drinks and maybe even a little boogie.
“I’m a Fleurieu girl at heart… [and] for me the partnership between The Porch Sessions, Alpha Box & Dice and myself is a no brainer, I love what these guys bring to a party,” says Jessie about the importance of keeping things local.
“It’s truly my pleasure to work alongside some special sparkly individuals like Sharni Honor as well as Lachlan Aird and Dylan Fairweather from AB&D.”
Food, Booze + Dancing Shoes is on Friday, March 2 from 8.00pm-midnight.
