2018 has had a big focus on self-care and learning to look after ourselves. Luckily for us, Enlighten Adelaide Festival returns next month for its ninth consecutive year in uniting local businesses and the community to celebrate wellness, relaxation and self-care.
The two-day festival, which is held at the Adelaide Convention Centre at the end of July, will feature a variety of interactive experiences. A highlight will be the ‘Come and Try’ Experiences for those who are unfamiliar with wellness activities featuring various types of yoga, pilates and meditation. There will also be a Day Spa Room complete with massages and reiki healings.
“We are excited to be featuring 85 professionals from various fields who will be offering expert advice, products and services,”says Festival Director, Sue Shaw. She adds that the Festival is aiming to provide a welcoming environment where the public can improve their own health and wellbeing by learning how to have more energy and balance in their lives from South Australian-based practitioners.
“Our aim is not only to educate people about healing processes and how to bring calm into their lives naturally, but also to conquer any misconceptions surrounding alternative therapies,” says Sue. “Visitors can be assured of only reputable and qualified practitioners showcasing at the festival – the Enlighten Adelaide program raises the bar for our industry.”
The festival will not only make you feel good with its line up of activities, but will also delight all your senses with local musicians from Sacred Music Adelaide performing throughout the weekend. Plus there will be delicious food options on offer, including vegetarian paella at the Festival Café, delish coffee and a selection of mouthwatering raw and gluten-free treats to kickstart your new healthier life.
Kids can be kept entertained at the new Kids Creative Corner, where face painting, henna, tattooing, story time meditation, dress ups, and craft activities will be in full swing, and the best part is that if they’re under 15, tickets are free!
For the rest of you folk, tickets are $15 for one-day pass or $20 for the whole weekend.
