Adelaide’s fashion finest rejoice as the highly anticipated inaugural Vogue Festival kicks off this Friday. To celebrate, the team at East End Social are throwing the wrap party of all wrap parties. Boasting eats, drinks, tunes and, of course, plenty of fashion, the central CBD afternoon affair is not one to be missed.
“This event is about collaboration. We are working with the best in the business from fashion, models, music, food, wine and spirits – right through to hair and make up – everyone is a pro,” says littlelion PR director and event organiser, Gabrielle Leonello.
The recently announced music line up will see Adelaide’s faves hit the decks this Saturday. Resident DJs of the East End, Fresh FM’s Caroline Tucker will join Fashion Festival Music Director, Filip Odzak, and Sugar Nightclub owner, Driller Jet Armstrong to set the tone for a night of celebration.
The DJ line-up will see:
– Fresh FM’s Caroline Tucker (a.k.a CARZi)
– Fashion Festival music director and Mary’s Poppin resident DJ, Filip Odzak (a.k.a Filip with an F)
– Sugar Nightclub owner, Driller Jet Armstrong, for the closing set
– + a surprise live musical performance
Pride Models will walk the runway to the tune of the killer DJ line up as fashion takes the forefront of the event. Guests will enjoy an exclusive first look at the latest looks from the likes of Tigerlily, Harvey the Label, Jack London, sass & bide and Saba. Featuring ready-to-wear SS17 trends, the runway show will showcase collections from the East End’s most illustrious labels.
“The runway show has been beautifully styled by Nicola [Lynch]. We have a number of surprises lined up, including a neon pink runway to the Vogue Festival signature colour as well as a not-to-be-missed surprise opening,” says Gabrielle.
The runway finale will pay homage to the 10-year anniversary of Australian Fashion Labels. The ‘Floral Tribute’ will see C/MEO Collective, Keepsake the Label, Finders, The Fifth Label and JAGGAR Footwear take to the runway in celebration of the international fashion juggernaut’s decade of success.
With the inside scoop on all of the latest trends, littlelion PR resident stylist, Nicola Lynch, says “bold blocky stripes are the pattern de juor and botanic, oversized blooms and floral prints will take centre stage.”
“It’s all about making a statement and fusing different looks, mixing and definitely not matching! Likewise, with accessories, it’s time to embrace the adage – the more the better,” she continues.
The wrap party will also feature a completely South Australian range of canapés and a collaboration with East End Cellars, Mismatch Brewing Co, Adelaide Hills Distillery, Alpha Box & Dice and Man of Spirit to provide a range of pop up bars to quench your thirst.
Tickets include the runway show, four hours of food and entertainment and two drinks on arrival.
