Coming out with Bonds

Bonds are proudly celebrating Mardi Gras with the release of their new Pride range. To honour the range, Bonds will host an OUT NOW Exhibition commemorating the coming out stories of queer Australians during Mardi Gras.

The idea behind the exhibition is focusing on fashion and an expression of pride. The diverse campaign features a group of real Australian individuals including Art Simone, a professional Drag Queen from Melbourne, Marty a 60-year-old father of five, and Lilah, a non-binary person who expresses themselves as both masculine and feminine.

The exhibition space will be a mesmerising activation, featuring walls of portraits and videos celebrating over 50 queer Australians. The beautiful concept aims to capture the size, strength and positivity of the queer community and is open for anyone to acknowledge.

As part of the project, Bonds are collaborating with Minus18, champions for LGBTQIA+ youth Australia wide. The partnership assists to fund significant peer-to-peer support, education and training, and safe spaces for queer youth. The exhibition will also double as a space where people can gain support from Minus18 crew members.

The Bonds OUT NOW Exhibition will be open to the public over Mardi Gras parade weekend held in Sydney (Feb 28 – Mar 1) and the Bonds Pride collection is available now in stores and online.
