The Colonist launches delicious new Spring menu

Spring menus join warm evenings and extended daylight hours as a few of our favourite things. Inspired by increasing demand for extended brunch options and South Australia’s abundance of quality produce, The Colonist are answering our foodie prayers with a blooming good spring menu.

Ditch any preconceived notions of a tavern menu at the door, as the new menu sees quality and flavour at the forefront with every bite. Enjoy the fresh options any day of the week as The Colonist offer an extended selection of brunch, bar snack and classic pub options from Monday to Sunday.

The Colonist’s head chef, Dean Lennerth, says “the demand for an all day breakfast rings true with our weekend trade, so we have decided to extend the concept through to a seven-day brunch offering.”

The comprehensive brunch options see a selection of classic brekky and traditional lunch eats hit the menu this spring. From the staple corn fritters topped with smashed avo and smoked salmon to the mouth-watering chicken and haloumi salad, The Colonist’s spring menu toes the line of breakfast fanatics and ladies who lunch.

With the sunny season in mind, the new menu has been expertly developed to incorporate Australia’s abundance of fresh, seasonal produce. Striving to source as locally as possible, The Colonist are also committed to providing equally delicious options for those with dietary requirements.

“We use local growers for fruit and vegetables, Barossa Valley free-range eggs, Hahndorf smallgoods, Adelaide Hills sourced rabbits, and meats that come from both South Australia and Queensland,” says Dean.

Spike your midday meal with a boozy brunch and pair the delish spring menu with The Colonist’s twist on the juicing trend. Indulge in the range of gin and juice cocktails for the ultimate mid-week pick me up or weekend unwind. Kick brunch up a notch with the Sweet & Spicy’s blend of pineapple chilli or lemon, embrace your sweeter side with the Dark & Stormy’s berry, mint and lime, or cleanse the palette with the Tart & Tasty’s zingy mix of ruby grapefruit and tonic.

The Colonist’s new spring menu will be available from Saturday, October 14.
