As we ease our way into the New Year, Adelaide’s music calendar is heating up. Start off 2018 the right way, with warm nights and killer tunes across the city’s venues. Ahead of the hustle and bustle of Mad March, take the time to get your groove on this February as talent from far and wide descends on Adelaide for a string of festival fun, intimate gigs and arena tours.

St Jerome’s Laneway Festival

Since its humble beginnings in 2004 Melbourne, St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has expanding to become one of Australia’s most beloved annual touring festivals. Returning to Port Adelaide this summer, music lovers can expect to enjoy Laneway’s signature good vibes and even better tunes. With Australian indie-pop princess Amy Shark, Client Liason and Melbourne’s City Calm Down joining Mac DeMarco and Wolf Alice on the Hart’s Mill stage, its gearing up to be a huge day of boisterous festival fun.

Sunset Sessions

For some free tunes, embrace summer’s warm evenings with the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Sunset Sessions. Out on the Riverdeck, unwind from the week with live local musicians and sweeping views as the sun sets over the River Torrens. Chill out with tunes by Adelaide talents from Ryan Martin John’s dreamy indie-folk to Kelley Menhennett’s unique blend of soul, roots and alt tunes. Soak up the last of summer with Sunset Sessions at the Festival Centre this Feb.

Hit 107's RnB Vine Days

Take to the vines this Feb and get your festival fix as Hit 107 present their first ever RNB Vine Days. In a refreshing twist on the classic RNB concert event, the networks first ever winery based tour will conclude in McLaren Vale this month. In the stunning Fleurieu surrounds of Leconfield Wines, get down with Boys II Men, TLC and special guest Shaggy, not to mention killer sets by DJ Horizon and YO! MAFIA. Get your boogie on with the biggest names in contemporary RNB with a glass in hand as Vine Days hits McLaren Vale this summer.

Timberwolf

Taking his 2017 debut album, Ikaros, to the stage, Adelaide’s indie/alt-rock darling, Timberwolf, kicks off his 2018 nationwide tour at The Garden this February. Known to entrance audiences everywhere, the singer-songwriter joins in on the Adelaide Fringe madness with a one-night-only stint at Rundle Park’s Garden of Unearthly Delights. With a wonderful array of dreamy vocals and mesmerising melodies in tow, watch Ikaros unfold and come to life on-stage this February.

Gang of Youths

Off the back of a stellar 2017, Gang of Youths return to home soil after a European tour and a mega move to London. After taking home three awards at the 2017 ARIAS, the triple threat five-piece will take to Bird in Hand for unique winery performance. Glass in hand, enjoy the band’s distinct sound and immersive stage presence flanked by the stunning surrounds of the rolling Adelaide Hills.

George Maple

In a celebration of her debut album, Lover, George Maple takes to The Gov this Feb with her mesmerising live show. The fourth stop on a five-show tour, George Maple is set to hypnotise audiences as the electronic-pop songstress brings her striking sound to life on stage. Presented by BBE and Triple J, be immersed in the magic of George Maple at The Gov this summer.

Queen & Adam Lambert

Musical powerhouses Queen and Adam Lambert return to Australian shores in 2018 following a sold-out arena tour in 2014. A collaboration for the ages, Queen’s legendary active members join vocal legend, Adam Lambert, for the band’s first performance in Adelaide for over three decades. From We Will Rock You to We Are The Champions, belt out the anthems with a distinctly Adam Lambert twist as Queen hit the Entertainment Centre this month.
