The weather may be cooling down but that doesn’t mean that your brunch plans have to. Blessed with gorgeous trees, winding roads and picturesque hideaways, the Adelaide Hills are absolutely brimming with cosy café nooks.
Here in Adelaide we are lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. While the summer months may have us running for the beaches, the gorgeous hills scape nurtures us through the cooler months. Don’t let the frosty mornings and wet weather keep you trapped at home, only 15 minutes from the CBD, why not make the most of The Adelaide Hills?
With so many cute villages, sprawling sceneries and crackling fireplaces to explore, these are our four fave Hills Hotspots to keep you warm this winter.
Nestled in the main street of Aldgate, FRED Eatery is serving up a modern twist on the traditional hillside hospitality. Complete with two stories of seating, including cosy, cushioned window benches, the more is truly the merrier at the hillside locale. Established in 2015, the café boasts an incredibly distinct menu. Forget your standard smashed avo and soy cappuccino, the team at FRED like to kick things up a notch. Their all day brekky options, perfect for those cool morning sleep ins that require extended brunching hours, include twists on French toast, granola, egg and bacon rolls, and more. For the ultimate winter comfort we warm up with the Frenchy French Toast, stacked with banana, caramelised yoghurt, Canadian maple and roasted almonds. Why not treat yourself to their Dirty Filthy Gorgeous Coconut Chai and your pooch to a Doggy Latte while you’re at it?
