Clique Picks: Cafes to visit this spring

Spring is well and truly upon us and with the increase in brunch dates and dire need for smashed avocado, we can’t think of anything better than taking a day out of the office, sitting at a trendy bustling cafe and sippin’ on an iced latte.

Here in Adelaide, we’ve definitely been blessed with some stand out coffee places. Treat yourself to a delicious filter coffee in the city centre or venture out to ‘burbs for some good vibes. Our list features some of Adelaide’s best cafes to enjoy the sun, and remember to bring the pups.

 

Sibling

A Clique favourite and a south-side staple, Ensemble Studios’ sibling café, Sibling, has opened up on Gilles St and it’s been booming ever since. Outdoor seating and doggo beds, vegan eats, breakfast bagels and excellent coffee can be expected.

Exchange

Exchange Specialty Coffee is the place to meet friends and sip away on specialty brews. This Vardon Avenue classic has been serving Market Lane coffee to Adelaide’s coffee crowd for over five years, with no plans on slowing down. Outdoor tables and stools spill onto the laneway to complete the vibes.

Peter Rabbit 

A seasonal locally sourced menu to enjoy in these enchanting gardens of Hindley Street. Peter Rabbit is home to Mop, the actual rabbit, who you can find hopping around his hut inside. Take a seat outside and enjoy the morning sun with a coffee, or even finish the day with an afternoon cocktail.

Gather and Graze 

The newest kid on the block, Gather and Graze has only been open for a few weeks and already it’s sky rocketed as one Adelaide’s best cafes. With their notable in-store seasonal grazing and breakfast platters, the cafe also offers a perfectly assembled spring menu. Gather and Graze started as a local grazing platter company and after growing immensely over the past few years, it was time for a brick a mortar location to serve their seasonal produce. Expect bright and fresh interiors accompanied with outdoor seating to watch the world go by.

Karma and Crow  

A huge warehouse space converted into a trendy café and creative hub back in October of 2016, Karma and Crow has become an Adelaide destination for the perfect brunch and hip atmosphere with a seasonally changing menu. Owner, Janie Kammer, launched a gift store at the front of their Richmond Road location back in August and is home to some incredible Adelaide creators such as; Solomon Street, Sairbean, Ellie Kammer and Ochre Ceramics.

Acacia 

Acacia offers a smooth transition from a day time café to an evening restaurant, with a combination of wholesome breakfast dishes and sophisticated dinners. Sitting seconds away from the sands of Henley Beach, this spaces offers a blend of art deco and Mediterranean design with high quality fit out, including one of Adelaide’s only Mod Bars and specialty coffee from ONA and Normcore, as well as a selection of specialty filter from seasonally featured roasters.
