Forget everything you thought you knew about Cibo Espresso, ‘cause Cibo Locale takes a whole new approach to the brand we know and love.
Cibo’s newest offering isn’t just for your morning coffee, or your grab-and-go lunch, Cibo Locale is fitted with a fully-fledged kitchen, and a team of chefs dishing up an all-day breakfast menu seven days a week!
Even the fit out feels different to what we’re used to at Cibo Espresso. The suburban location on Stuart St in Dulwich feels homey, with dark wood furnishings that play off against exposed brick. While a wall of black-and-white framed photographs gives the space its own personality.
But there’s no going past their alfresco-style dining area… lined by a Cibo-red picket fence, it’s the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.
Dulwich is the first eastside location for the newly established Cibo Locale, which has been up-and-running on Grange Rd in Findon since last year. And let’s not forget both locations are pouring their very own blend of coffee, so you can be sure to get your caffeine fix!
It’s no surprise the star of the all-day breakfast menu is the Poached egg with avocado, heritage tomatoes, smoked salmon, dukkah and labne on rye. But for something a little bit sweeter, there’s always the Locale toasted granola super bowl with acai berries, fresh fruit and chia seeds.
In true Cibo style, there’s a cabinet jam-packed with takeaway lunch options, but we couldn’t go past some of their made-to-order dishes. If you’re looking to avoid the typical lunch fare, try the Cauliflower fried rice with chorizo, sesame cucumber, pickled onion, sprouts, fermented cabbage, and topped with a chilli egg. You’ll thank yourself for it!
But we also love the Chopped quinoa bowl with radicchio, roasted cauliflower, avocado, radish, heritage tomatoes, cucumber, grilled corn, nuts and seeds… it’s just as tasty as it is healthy.
You’ll be happy to know Cibo Locale is fully licenced, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with your meal. Not to mention the guys in the kitchen are kicking off Friday night dinner as of 29 April, so put it in your diary!
