Bowlsome adds broth bowls and launches their winter menu

Late last year, Henley Beach was treated to a brand new addition for the conscious beach goer and since finding its home Bowlsome has been going from strength to strength. But now that the weather has turned, they’re stepping up their game, launching their winter menu and introducing a colder weather staple: the broth bowl.

The winter offering will see new bases, proteins and ingredients added to the already extensive list of delicious and nutritious options. Still continuing to use the freshest seasonal produce, the Henley Beach locale are simply tailoring their menu to the cooler weather.

“At Bowlsome our focus is on wellness. The idea of introducing the broth bowl with its amazing health benefits, was a natural extension of our brand,” says owner, Danielle Elia. “The healing properties go deeper than we can imagine.”

BRAISED CHICKEN CURRY BOWL: Rice noodles, mild chicken curry, steamed broccoli, savoy cabbage, roasted pumpkin, edamame beans, radish, boiled egg, crispy shallots, chilli oil & chilli flakes, lime.

The concept is still as easy as ever. Customers just need to come in and choose from a selection of eight nourishing chef-curated bowls – think braised lamb and turmeric cauliflower rice or braised chicken, rice noodles and chicken curry – then add a hot chicken bone broth or a vegetable broth to the mix.

In case you didn’t know, broths boast benefits like boosting immunity, improving skin, promoting weight loss and of course, maintaining gut health. But it’s also just a great winter alternative to the cold, raw bowls. “We’re excited to give them another option to enjoy in these colder months,” Danielle says.

Bowlsome will also be introducing cooked market vegetables like roasted beetroots, pumpkin, leek and zucchini to the largely raw ingredients in the summer bowls. So not to fear regulars, you’ll still be able to customise your bowls.

“We want everyone to be able to compose their bowl with confidence and access this type of nourishing food fast,” Danielle says. “We understand how time poor everyone is these days!”

So we know many of you Bowlsome addicts already have your favourite combination but now is the time to step out of your comfort zone and try something new (and warm).

The winter menu kicks off today, Thursday May 17 and officially launches this weekend.
