Bowlsome arrives at Henley Beach

Summer is here and we’re ready to spend every free moment down by the beach. Luckily for us, Henley Beach has continued to step up its game with all the local cafes, restaurants and its new developments. The latest to arrive on the scene is Bowlsome, a brand new food offering for the conscious beach goer.

Brainchild of Danielle Elia – who also owns Public CBD on Franklin Street with her husband, James Anthony – the concept is all about wholesome food served in a bowl. It’s also about the freshest seasonal produce sourced from local growers, making sure you get the most flavoursome experience possible.

“The concept is unfussed and refined,” says Danielle. “A custom made fridge will house an array of the freshest protein and ingredients to offer a range of savoury bowls, assembled from scratch.”

“We also want to re-imagine the idea of a “traditional” salad bar,” she continues. “Bowl foods are composed and the ingredients layered, but they aren’t tossed like a salad. You can mix your bowl, or you can take bites of each separate element.”

“We’re committed to supporting local producers by sourcing the freshest, GMO free produce for our customers,” she says.

In store, you’ll be able to choose from eight chef curated bowls that have been inspired by produce that’s in season, what’s good for you as well as many different cooking styles from around the world.

“We have a Bibimbap bowl using sliced rare eye fillet beef and a spicy sauce, a vegan macrobiotic bowl and a kingfish sashimi bowl which has an Island flavour, just to name a few,” Danielle says.

Customers will also be able to get creative and bring to life their own Bowlsome creation with a simple five step process.

Bowlsome is a passion project for experienced business owner and designer, Danielle. Her life is about delicious and nutritious food as well as delivering this memorable experience to her customers and making it easy for them to access fresh food.

“I’m passionate about making it easier for people to eat mindfully, despite their busy lives,” says Danielle.

“This is wholesome goodness, served in the simplest of vessels – We want people to dive in!”

Bowlsome officially opens on Tuesday, December 26.
