Hands up if you love a good glass of bubbly. Hands up if there’s nothing that satisfies you like a pint of good beer on a hot day. If you agreed to one or both of those things then this Saturday’s Beer & Bubbles is the event for you.
With a sunny 28 degrees forecast, we couldn’t think of anything better than heading to Adelaide’s East End to taste test beers from 30 of the best boutique breweries – labels like Mismatch Brewing Co, Young Henry’s and Hawkers.
For those who aren’t beer fans, take this chance to dip into East End Cellars’ finest sparkling whites and international champagne all day long. Think labels like 42 Degrees South, Deviation Road and our fave Zaptung from Alpha Box & Dice, and not to mention some well-known international favourites like Pol Roger, Billecart-Salmon and Louis Roederer.
“We have some impressive local talent when it comes to craft beer, winning world class bragging rights, says event director East End Cellars’ Michael Andrewartha. “And our home grown sparkling wines are simply magic”.
And don’t worry if you’re feeling a bit peckish, some of your favourite East End eateriess will be serving up their best dishes. We’re pretty keen on some pulled pork tacos from Mothervine, satay chicken and pad thai from Lemongrass, and those damn good deep fried chilli chicken wings from NOLA.
