From designer to chic, fashion savvy locals know that King William Road is the go-to strip in Adelaide. The precinct is a shopping and lifestyle icon and this year, retail meets runaway as the 2018 Mercedes-Benz Unley Long Lunch returns for the 2018 Adelaide Fashion Festival.
As KWR welcomes back this glamourous event, expect nothing short of lavish fashion, fine wine and dining to celebrate the return of the warmer months.
“Mercedes-Benz Unley is committed to supporting local businesses as well as aligning ourselves with Adelaide’s premier fashion events,” says Mercedes-Benz Unley General Manager, Drew Ford.
This year’s luncheon takes on a new feel, focusing more on the shared experience and the way fashion connects us.
You can expect to see sprawling grazing platters and share plates specially crafted by leading restaurants on KWR spread across 200 metres of elegant tables, with top models weaving through the crowd showcasing each store’s new Spring/Summer collections.
“King William Road has long been known as South Australia’s leading fashion destination. The Mercedes-Benz Unley Long Lunch brings together the bold, distinctive style of King William Road, representing the fusion of food and wine and the creativity and innovation of its boutiques,” says The KWR Trader’s Association’s, Simmy Roberts, from The Ark.
This year the event has partnered with local charity Parkinson’s South Australia, a not-for-profit organisation supporting those living with movement disorders and their families.
“Parkinson’s SA is thrilled to be the charity partner for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz Unley Long Lunch. As a King William Road trader, it’s a natural collaboration as we already have long-standing relationships with many of our neighbours and use them as our suppliers when we can – both for business and personally,” says Parkinson’s South Australia CEO, Olivia Nassaris.
The event takes place on Friday, 12th October, giving fashion buffs a preview of what to expect from Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley at AAF18. Tickets start at $750.00 for a half table or $1,500 for a full table, so grab your clique for an afternoon of fashion and fun and support a good cause.
