Adelaide Gin has received a Double Gold at the prestigious 2020 consumer-judged SIP Awards.
The only international competition of its kind to be judged solely by consumers, the SIP Awards celebrate the
industry’s finest spirits.
The winning Gin’s floral notes of Kangaroo Island lavender
and rose, crafted to capture both the history and modernity of Adelaide.
“We have a great opportunity to use locally-sourced Australian flora to flavour the finest base spirit, giving a
fresh and modern update to a traditional product, which is something that the international audience as well as
Australians really respond to.” says Adelaide Gin’s founder, Michael Hickinbotham.
“South Australia’s gin industry has continued to flourish over recent years and we are thrilled to be a part of
Adelaide Gin’s sister craft gins distilled by Australian Distilling Co, which include Perth Gin, Brisbane Gin,
Melbourne Gin and Sydney Gin, also came home with gold and silver medals for their own distinct flavours.
The Australian Distilling Co team look forward to producing more award-winning spirits in the future, with plans
to expand the range this year.
“Our team has been working hard this year and are almost ready to release the new products we have been
developing throughout 2020. Given the success of our established brands, we can’t wait to share our new range
and we think consumers will be very excited by what’s to come.”
