Adelaide Designers Take Centre Stage At The Logies

It’s definitely one of the biggest nights in Australian entertainment and you can’t deny that it’s pretty great seeing all our favourite television stars in one place for The Logies. The best part about last night though? Seeing some of our best and brightest homegrown designers have their dresses – all made right here in Adelaide – grace the red carpet on some of our favourite Australian stars. And we’re not being biased, but they were definitely some of the best dressed.

Carrie Bickmore in Paolo Sebastian

What could be better than two of our favourite people coming together? Paul Vasileff of Paolo Sebastian did not disappoint, creating a stunning wine coloured gown for Australia’s sweetheart, Carrie Bickmore. While we can’t forget that beaded duck-egg blue number from 2015 or the edgier black gown from last year, Paul has stepped away from his traditional embroidery and beading to create something a little different but still just as dramatic and head-turning.

Rebecca Morse in Jaimie Sortino

In another step away from the traditional, Jaimie Sortino created a fitted off-the-shoulder number for Adelaide’s own Rebecca Morse. The simple silhouette is super flattering on her and we can’t get over that blush pink shade. The very definition of simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

Kate Collins in Jaimie Sortino

Channel 9’s Kate Collins donned another Jaimie Sortino creation but this one is definitely a classic. Royal blue in colour with some intricate beading details, a perfect fit for the red carpet.

Michala Banas in Greta Kate

Adelaide designer Greta Kate is known best for her beautiful wedding dresses and her ethereal touch of gowns but this darker number on Australia TV legend, Michala Banas is equally as stunning. The sheer bodice (with embroidery in all the right spots) creates an edgier look and balances out a bit more of a traditional red carpet train.

And even though they’re not wearing Adelaide designers, an honourable mention to the following ladies for looking straight fire on the red carpet.
