Groovin’ The Moo is just days away, which means it’s definitely time to start sorting out your hair and makeup for the festival. Luckily, this year’s GTM festival falls just after Coachella, which means you can be feeling those ‘chella vibes from right here at Adelaide Showground. Although we didn’t actually attend the California-based festival last week, we’re pretty sure we saw enough of the #Coachella snaps on social media to consider ourselves semi-experts on the topic. So here’s our top five festival beauty trends to rock this Friday at GTM.
All glitter everything
Glitter was definitely the biggest trend at Coachella this year, from glitter braids to under-eye sparkles and even shimmering brows, it was everywhere. The great thing about this trend is its versatility. Whether you want to be an all-out glitter goddess listening to The Wombats or just have a subtle shimmer, this trend can work for you.
If you’re a little more daring this festival season, give feather brows a try. The trend, which originated as a joke on make-up artist, Stella Sironen’s Instagram, became another notable trend at Coachella after becoming a viral internet sensation earlier this year. This trend definitely made the rounds of Coachella last weekend, so don’t be surprised if you see it in the mosh while you’re rocking out to Allday at GTM.
It wouldn’t be a music festival if pastel locks weren’t a major trend, and this year’s festival season is no different. From baby pinks and blues to more daring minty shades, the Coachella crowd was a sea of pastel hair, and we won’t be surprised if GTM is the same. Head into your local Hairhouse Warehouse and pick up some Manic Panic this weekend!
This ode to the 90s is one of our favourite festival hair trends because it’s so damn convenient. If you’re ready to rock out to The Smith Street Band, or head bang to Violent Soho, you wont want your hair in the way – so wrap up your locks in some stylish space buns and boogie the night away.
If you’re really in the festival spirit and ready to groove the night away to Tash Sultana, give the highlighter hair trend a crack. This is the perfect look for anyone who doesn’t want to lose their friends, because this fluorescent hair will be seen from a mile away. If this trend is good enough for Kylie Jenner, it’s good enough for us!
