24 Hours in… Sydney

One of Adelaide’s favourite holiday destinations, the beautiful city of Sydney is a vibrant hub of culture, cuisine and pristine coastline. Whether you’re travelling for work, popping up for the weekend or just stopping over, our east coast capital boast endless options for entertainment and sensory delight. We know that although exciting, all the choices can be a little overwhelming when you’ve only got 24 hours, so here is CLIQUE Mag’s edit of Sydney must-sees.

Rise early to take a dip in the heated rooftop pool of the Primus Hotel on Pitt Street. An impressive urban resort, you will be surrounded by towering skyscrapers while relaxing in the chic indoor-outdoor space.

Stroll around the corner to Castlereagh Street where you’ll find modern Greek restaurant Alpha who offer a surprisingly delicious casual breakfast among the chic island inspired interiors. Or order a coffee on the run from their buzzing takeaway bar.

Grab your coffee and walk through the centre of Hyde Park, Sydney’s mid-city garden. With tree lined pathways and water fountain features, you will be able to glimpse the famous Centrepoint Tower through the foliage.

Make your way through the domain and stop in at the Art Gallery of NSW to catch the current exhibition or hear an artist-curated talk.

Continue along the water past Andrew Boy Charlton Pool, that offers captivating views of Woolloomooloo wharf and the massive navy ships that park just across the water.

Follow the path around Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and through the Botanic Gardens to Circular Quay and board a ferry bound for Manly.

Head straight to Manly Fish Café for takeaway fish and chips that should be eaten across the road on the beachfront with legs dangling over the sea wall.

Wander back down the corso and explore the little side streets where you’ll find stores filled with amazing fashion finds and one-of-a-kind homewares.

Re-board the ferry back to Circular Quay and be prepared for one of the most breathtaking views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge that the city has to offer.

Rest your weary feet with a pre-dinner drink at Opera Bar. Nestled right on the water under the Opera House, the view stares straight back at Sydney’s most famous icon. You can never have too much bridge!

Sit down for an early dinner at Bennelong to capture the golden light and glittering views of the city as the sun goes down behind the buildings.

Head into the concert hall to see a performance by The Australian Ballet or Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Uber back to the Primus Hotel for a nightcap in the stunning lobby bar.

Sink into the ultra-comfy beds to dream of your day and perfect city escape.
